On the Meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski and the Delegation of the European Union

Today Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski held a meeting with the political representative of the EU in ‘5+2' negotiation process Gunnar Wiegand. Head of EU Delegation in Moldova Dirk Schuebel and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev also took part in the meeting.

Interlocutors discussed the agenda of the upcoming round of consultations in framework of Permanent Conference in Vienna which will take place in mid-July.

Nina Shtanski informed EU diplomats on the readiness of the Pridnestrovian side to discuss the issues of the social-economic basket. In order to reach this goal the work of expert groups was synchronized with the work of Permanent Conference. Minister informed that concrete proposals on the agenda of the upcoming consultations are already sent to the OSCE.

Among the priority issues of the Moldo-Pridnestrovian interaction in framework of small steps tactics, introduced by the Head of State, Nina Shtanski named the sphere of legal assistance, recognition of Pridnestrovian education documents and issues of communications and freight transportation.

The issue of signing the document on principles and procedures for the conduct of negotiations in framework of Permanent Conference in Vienna has also been discussed. Minister informed the interlocutors that Pridnestrovie is conducting appropriate consultations with other participants of the process of Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement – with Russia and Ukraine.
