“The Language of Sanctions and Blockades Cannot Be the Foundation of Cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Moldova” – the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic Commented on the Statement of Moldovan Politicians
Today the site of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic issued a statement, which contains counterarguments of the Pridnestrovian side concerning groundlessness of statements, made by Moldovan politicians about the absence of an economic blockade of Pridnestrovie.  Actively spread out from the 2006 the blockade of the republic led to the losses of Pridnestrovian economy in the amount of $ 450 million, reports the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development of the PMR. “As a result of economic sanctions, restrictions, blocking or sometimes political prejudice in this sphere of Foreign Economic Activity, Pridnestrovian economic agents annually bore / bear the burden of such money and time expenses as a double customs clearance, environmental fees, opacity and selectivity of non-tariff settlement, problems with the export of scrap metal and non-ferrous metals, virtual liquidation of Pridnestrovian border trade at the border with Ukraine in the sectors of small and medium-sized businesses,” - says the statement. The report emphasizes: “The results of export in the first six months amount only 62.6% of the country\'s export performance in the first half of 2005, the period before the blockade. And our Moldovan partners are acquainted with these figures. However, a number of them continues to spread misinformation to the world public”. As the statement of the press service of the Ministry says, it is incorrect to appeal to the comparative dynamics of the exports from the country in 2013-2014: a comparison of the periods, during one of which the leading enterprises of the republic were simply standing idle, is not revealing. "We believe that the language of sanctions and blockades can not be the foundation of trust-based cooperation, development, strengthening and interpenetration of the economies of the parties in the age of globalization of economic processes. We encourage our partners from the Republic of Moldova, who sometimes make statements that are not supported both by numbers and objective analytics, to direct, at least partially, their attention to some of the elements of the free Taiwan External Trade, Foreign Trade operation in North Cyprus, Gibraltar, to the order of external economic interaction under conditions of political differences ", - reports the Ministry of Economic Development. At the same time “Pridnestrovie confirms its interest in expanding foreign economic relations and sees it as a potential to improve the lives of citizens,” - says the statement of the press service.
