Nina Shtanski and Jennifer Brush Discussed Topical Issues of Interaction between Moldova and Pridnestrovie

Today the PMR's MFa saw the meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski and Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Jennifer Brush. Participating in the meeting also was Senior Human Dimension Officer at the OSCE Mission to Moldova Jacqueline Carpenter.



During the meeting the sides discussed the activity of expert (working) groups of Pridnestrovie and Moldova on the threshold of the next round of official consultations in the format of “Permanent Consultations” which will be held in September 2012 in Vienna. In particular, interlocutors discussed the complications in solving of a number of issues existing between Pridnestrovie and Moldova in the sphere of movement of people, goods and services. Besides, particular attention was paid to interaction of Tiraspol and Kishinev in educational sphere.



Jennifer Brush confirmed the intention of the OSCE Mission to Moldova to promote the achievement of mutually acceptable decisions as much as possible and to assist in building of confidence in the dialogue between Pridnestrovie and Moldova.



In her turn Nina Shtanski once again emphasized that it is necessary for the intermediaries to make attentive analysis of effectiveness of expert groups and negotiators and to elaborate additional guarantee mechanisms providing the fulfillment of the agreements achieved at the negotiating table. Pridnestrovian diplomat expressed concern about non-implementation of the mechanisms concerted within the framework of expert groups and confirmed on diplomatic level. She emphasized the necessity of more thorough analysis by the participants of negotiation process of interaction of Pridnestrovie and Moldova within the framework of socio-economical block of issues and express regret for the fact that a number of issues, including those in the field of freedom of movement, are not settled yet.
