The meeting was also attended by First Secretary of the Embassy, Head of the on-site point of the consular department of the Embassy of Russia Damir Zhamaldinov; from the Pridnestrovian side - Deputy Foreign Ministers of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev and Igor Shornikov.

The sides discussed a number of aspects of bilateral cooperation. In this context Nina Shtanski highly appreciated the results of the bilateral cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Russia in 2014, which, according to the Head of the Foreign Ministry, are the basis for further cooperation. “The 2014th year gives us grounds for confidence about the new joint steps that we intend to implement. The past year was fruitful, the level of our cooperation became qualitatively different. Consular services for citizens of Russia in Pridnestrovie get a lot of grateful feedbacks: the fact that Pridnestrovians again had the opportunity to acquire Russian citizenship is a big step forward. We also positively estimate the interdepartmental cooperation which has increased significantly: in one year alone we have managed to sign 15 interdepartmental documents, dozens of visits have been held, many joint Russian projects have been implemented in Pridnestrovie,”- said the diplomat.

Farit Mukhametshin, in his turn, noted that the Embassy of Russia intends to continue to provide assistance to state agencies and public organizations of Pridnestrovie in strengthening the ties with the Russian Federation. According to him, the Embassy is also working on filling the interagency memoranda with practical content which were signed in 2014. In addition, the Russian diplomat told about the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, and also measures to support the veterans living in Pridnestrovie planned for 2015.
