Today, on May 18, 2015, the Kishinev OSCE Mission Office after half a year pause hosted a meeting of expert (working) groups on education of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova.
Within the meeting the parties exchanged opinions on a wide range of issues of the topical agenda and agreed on the need to continue substantive discussion, first of all, on a number of urgent problems, resolution of which will have visible and noticeable practical effect.
Thus, in particular, in August this year specialists of the parties will carry out a regular phase of joint control visits at schools with Romanian as language of education, which operate in Pridnestrovie, in order to define the degree of elimination of the previously detected violations and to evaluate the readiness of these organizations for the new academic year.
At the same time the leaders of the groups reached an agreement on the next meeting of experts in the third decade of June this year, when the parties will focus mainly on the discussion of organizational and legal aspects, related to the finding of a mutually acceptable mechanism for the authentication of education documents, issued by higher education institutes of Pridnestrovie.
