Nina Shtanski Congratulated Murat Dzhioev on the Constitution Day of the Republic of South Ossetia

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski sent a letter of congratulation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the occasion of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of South Ossetia. The letter of congratulation reads as follows:

The day of April 8, 2001 is an important event in the history of South Ossetia. Adoption of Constitution during the national referendum allowed the State to form responsible executive power, strong Parliament, efficient and effective system of State administration.

The major document of the State – its Constitution – concentrates rich historical experience and wisdom of past generations, is secures legal, political and ideological features of the State and society, it clarifies the priorities of national development, fixes guarantees of human rights and freedoms, secures law and order, consolidates civil consent and stability.

Adoption of the Constitution opened new chapter in the history of Ossetian statesmanship, gave strong impulse to strengthening values of democracy. Acting Constitution became one of the factors for recognition of independence of the Republic of South Ossetia.

South Ossetia is connected with Pridnestrovie by bonds of longstanding friendship. Our States have common historic destiny, our peoples preserve and develop cultural and national identity, democratic institutes. Your efforts in carrying out righteous aspirations of brotherly peoples in strengthening peace and stability are highly valued in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

I am sure that further consolidation of constitutional bases in the Republic of South Ossetia shall create effective conditions for implementing consistent social reforms aimed to create effective economy, to guarantee social security and welfare of the population, solicitous attitude towards traditions and national values of the South Ossetian people.
