The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is deeply concerned about the developments around the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

With pain in our hearts we receive the reports about the outbreak of a military operation in the conflict zone. We empathize with the brotherly people of Artsakh and believe that no political objectives or ambition can justify the use of weapons and the loss of human life.

Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev addressed the participants of the XX Conference of European-American Young Leaders. The event took place in the small hall of the Republic’s Palace.

This conference is organized annually by Global Bridges, a German organization founded to form and maintain ties between countries, cultures, young leaders and managers. This year’s conference brings together around 40 participants from Germany, Austria, the UK, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Turkey and other countries specializing in politics, business, science and media.

Today, Minister Vitaly Ignatiev met with a large delegation of the Heinrich Böll Foundation at the Foreign Ministry.

The Foundation, established in Germany in 1987, implements and supports projects in the fields of civil society development, human rights and international dialogue.

Today, the Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Alexandr Stetsiuk and the U.S. Embassy delegation in Moldova, comprising political advisers Mark Motyleski and Andrew Freeman.

The discussion focused on the current situation in the negotiation process. The PMR Deputy Foreign Minister stated that the Moldovan side continues to evade constructive dialogue, at the same time increasing the complex of pressure measures on Pridnestrovie.

Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry hosted the meeting of Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie Alexander Vataman and Head of the Official Representative Office of the Republic of South Ossetia in Pridnestrovie Vitaly Yankovsky.

Welcoming the guests, the PMR Foreign Minister expressed condolence and support to the Abkhazian people on the anniversary of the Georgian invasion of Abkhazia on 14 August 1992.

Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Janis Mazeiks, head of the European Union Delegation to Moldova, in the Presidential Administration. The visiting group included Peter Janik, political affairs officer, and Vasile Plamadeala, trade counsellor. The Pridnestrovian side was represented by the Prime Minister of the PMR, Alexander Rosenberg, and the PMR Foreign Minister, Vitaly Ignatiev.

In the course of the meeting interlocutors thoroughly exchanged views on the current situation in the fields of security, trade in goods and transport logistics.

In his speech, he drew attention to the situation with the massive violation of the rights of the Pridnestrovian citizens due to the blockade and restrictive measures on the part of the Republic of Moldova:

A meeting of experts (working groups) on health issues took place today at the OSCE Mission’s office in Tiraspol.

The main topic of the meeting was the situation with the Moldovan side preventing the service of X-ray equipment in the Pridnestrovian medical institutions.

For two months, Moldova has been blocking the transit of X-ray equipment for a computer tomograph at the Republican Hospital for the Disabled of the Great Patriotic War, and has been making unacceptable political demands.
