​Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR informs that the meeting of political representatives of Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova, previously planned and announced on the official website of the PMR’s MFA, will not take place due to the refusal of the Moldovan side.

Pridnestrovie’s Foreign Ministry opened an exhibition of Pridnestrovian artist, teacher of Tiraspol’s children's art school Olga Rudenko. The event was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Igor Shornikov, Chairman of the Pridnestrovian Union of Artists Sergei Panov, as well as representatives of the creative community of Pridnestrovie.

Olga Rudenko is a participant of international, republican and city exhibitions. This year marks her 30 years as a teacher and 15 years as an artist.

The President held a working meeting with Acting Foreign Minister of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev. They discussed the current activities of the foreign ministry. Particular attention was paid to the actual areas of interaction between Pridnestrovie and the Russian Federation. In particular, they talked about the opening of a Representative Office of Pridnestrovie in Moscow.

Electronic resources of Representative offices of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia, “Diplomatic bulletin of Pridnestrovie” and “Council of Young Diplomats” also have had a new location:

Today, the PMR's MFA hosted a meeting between Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Moldova Jaromir Kvapil. The Czech diplomat, who is completing his mission, made a final visit to Pridnestrovie.

Pridnestrovie and Moldova’s representatives on political issues Vitaly Ignatiev and Gheorghe Balan met for the first time in five months at the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side at the OSCE office in Kishinev.      

The meeting discussed a number of the most pressing issues of concern in the field of freedom of movement, establishment of cooperation in the area of road and rail transport, as well as politically motivated criminal cases opened in the Republic of Moldova against Pridnestrovian citizens.

According to the head of the Foreign Ministry, Pridnestrovie has enough mechanisms and tools in order to protect the interests of citizens in the event of prosecution in Moldova

Answering journalists' questions about how Pridnestrovian citizens can protect their rights in the case when criminal prosecution was opened against them in Moldova for political reasons, Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev emphasized that Pridnestrovians should immediately inform the PMR state authorities about such incidents.

Presentation of the publication “Instruments to put pressure on Pridnestrovie in Moldovan-Pridnestrovian settlement: a politically motivated prosecution of Pridnestrovian citizens by Moldova” was held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie.
