Nina Shtanski discussed Current Issues of Bilateral Cooperation with Ukrainian Ambassador

On August 9, 2012 working meeting between head of foreign-political agency Nina Shtanski and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in Moldova Sergey Pirozhkov took place in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR. Second Secretary of the Ukrainian Embassy in Moldova Alexander Sosnyuk and Councilor of the Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova Viktor Lavrinenko also took part in the meeting.



Interlocutors discussed number of issues of bilateral cooperation in humanitarian sphere and issues of cooperation in sphere of transport.



According to Sergey Pirozhkov, in August number of solemn events is to take place in Pridnestrovie, dedicated to celebration of Ukrainian national holidays – the Day of National Flag and the Day of Independence. “On August, 23 ceremony of flower offerings to the monuments of famous Ukrainians shall take place in Tiraspol and Bendery. And on August, 24 press-conference shall take place in the Ukrainian Center”, – diplomat said.



The results of the entry campaign of this year for prospective students from Pridnestrovie to Ukrainian universities were also discussed during the conversation. The sides also touched upon the issue of the upcoming election campaign to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.



Issue of development of vehicle transportation between Ukraine, Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova became a separate topic of discussion. Sergey Pirozhkov stressed out that the main goal of the meeting was to discuss possibilities of “removing barriers which exist and interfere in lives of people, living on the territory of Pridnestrovie”.



Ukrainian ambassador expressed his content with the existing level of understanding with the Pridnestrovian side.
