Nina Shtanski meets with a delegation of the Nagorno-Karabach Republic

The guests arrived in Pridnestrovie to take part in the festivities on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the republic.

Deputy Prime Minister of the PMR for International Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nina Shtanski had a meeting with the delegation of the Nagorno-Karabach Republic at the PMR's MFA today.  The delegation was comprised of Secretary General, Head of the Staff of the MFA of the NKR Semyon Afiyan, as well as Chairman of the NKR National Assembly Standing Committee Artur Tovmasyan.

Welcoming the guests, Nina Shtanski emphasized that Pridnestrovie has always highly valued the friendship with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and maintained a strong belief that the people of Artsakh is ready to help in difficult times. “Friends usually become less through the years, but the friendship between our countries has continued unabated for 25 years. We highly appreciate that the guests from the NKR are with us today, in spite of such a difficult situation that objectively exists in our countries,”- said the diplomat.

Semyon Afiyan, in his turn, noted that the representatives of Nagorno-Karabakh when visiting Pridnestrovie always emphasize the internationalism of the Pridnestrovian people, interethnic peace and harmony remaining in the country. The diplomat also stressed that the NKR intends to develop cooperation with Pridnestrovie in several areas, including education, culture and sports.

“Geographical remoteness, of course, creates difficulties, but we should continue to cooperate. We are always proud of the relationships that exist between us and Pridnestrovie,” - he said.

 During the meeting, Nina Shtanski conveyed to the NKR’s delegation congratulations on behalf of the Pridnestrovian leaders on the occasion of the proclamation of independence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. We remind it is celebrated in Artsakh on the 2th of September.
