Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PMR hosted a number of meetings with the representatives of foreign diplomatic missions. Head of the foreign political office of Pridnestrovie Nina Shtanski received Political-Economic Section Chief of the Embassy of the United States in Moldova Gregory Winstead, acting Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Jan Plesinger, as well as ad interim Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Moldova Wolfgang Behrendt and political attaché Dirk Lorenz.
The meeting with the representatives of the American Embassy took place on the initiative of the American side. The interlocutors discussed current organizational issues relating to further cooperation between the offices.
The meeting with the OSCE representatives was focused on the forthcoming round of negotiations in the format of the Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the Framework of the Pridnestrovien Settlement Negotiation Process, due in Dublin. The diplomats specified separate details of the planned meeting. In particular, the sides discussed agenda of negotiations, formulations of particular issues, goals, principles and procedures.
In the afternoon, Nina Shtanski met with the Delegation of the European Union. The meeting also saw the participation of ad interim Chairman of the State Customs Committee Gennady Kuzmichev. In the course of the dialogue, the sides considered issues concerning development of economy, comprehensive trade, banking sector and resumption of the railway traffic.
