Pridnestrovien Observers Voiced Preliminary Estimation of the Course of Elections in the Republic of Abkhazia

Today, at 18.00, in the capital of Abkhazia in the city of Sukhum, a press-conference took place at which representatives of the delegation of international observers of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic Vladimir Yastrebchak and Petr Denisenko conveyed tentative estimation of the process of will expression of the citizens at presidential elections in the Republic of Abkhazia. The event was held in international information center and was transmitted live on Abkhazian television.

The head of the Pridnestrovien diplomacy Vladimir Yastrebchak stressed, “Being in Abkhazia for the third time as an international observer, I note with confidence that every time one can notice improvement of electoral legislation and the process of organizing the voting”.

In his turn, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the PMR Petr Denisenko noted that many positive elements and novations of electoral process in Abkhazia can be efficiently used also at the forthcoming elections in Pridnestrovie.

Official representatives of the Pridnestrovien Moldavian Republic highly estimated the level of professionalism of the members of polling station commissions and stressed free friendly atmosphere during Presidential elections in the Republic of Abkhazia.

At this moment, observers from Pridnestrovie have visited several polling stations in four regions of Abkhazia.
