On Participation of International Observers from Pridnestrovie in Presidential Election in Republic of Abkhazia

At the invitation of the Abkhaz side, international observers from Pridnestrovie monitored the presidential elections in the Republic of Abkhazia, held on August 25, 2019.

As part of the Pridnestrovian delegation, the voting was monitored by the General Secretary of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the For Democracy and the Rights of Peoples Community Grigory Marakutsa, Deputy Foreign Minister of the PMR Alexander Stetsiuk, First Deputy Minister of Justice of the PMR Vladislav Zhuk, as well as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR and a member of the PMR Supreme Council Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations Grigory Dyachenko.

Pridnestrovian observers worked throughout the voting day, having visited more than 20 polling stations in five districts of the Republic of Abkhazia. In the course of the monitoring, no violations of the current legislation were recorded, and no complaints were sent to the international observers from Pridnestrovie.
