Pridnestrovian delegation laid flowers on Aleksndr Lebed grave

Today as the part of commemorative events to mark twenty-seventh anniversary of the Bendery Tragedy Vitaly Ignatiev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR, Leonid Manakov, Head of the Official Representation of Pridnestrovie in the Russian Federation, and Pridnestrovian compatriots visited Novodevichye Cemetery in Moscow and laid flowers on grave of Aleksandr Lebed, Head of the 14th Combined Arms Army of the Russian Federation in Prdinestrovie.

Attending to those here present, Vitaly Ignatiev stressed out that the name of Aleksandr Lebed is of particular importance for all Pridnestrovians. As diplomat said, Alexandr Lebed's service in the interests of Russia, in the name of peace and security became a vivid proof of importance of a single person in crucial historical periods. “The military aggression of Moldova against Pridnestrovie was stopped thanks to Alexander Lebed's decisions, actions and responsibility. He was one of the first to call this aggression genocide. Thanks to him, the peace, stability and security on the Dniester are maintained more over than 27 years”, stated the diplomat.

“The inevitability of punishment for military aggression of Moldova against Pridnestrovie in 1990-1992” round table in the Official Representation of Pridnestrovie in the Russian Federation was the flagship event of the Pridnestrovian delegation visit to Moscow.
