The Pridnestrovian delegation headed by President Yevgeny Shevchuk is on a visit in the Russian Federation. An opening ceremony of the exhibition “Pridnestrovie – the Russian boundary!” took place in Moscow in the Central museum of the Armed Forces of the RF.  The exhibition is coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Iasi-Kishinev operation and the 90th anniversary of the formation of the Moldovan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (MASSR).  The Pridnestrovian delegation included Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International Cooperation – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Nina Shtanski, Minister of Defense of the PMR Alexander Lukyanenko, Chief of the State Service for Culture Maria Kyrmyz,  Head of the Supreme Soviet of the PMR Committee on Security, Defense and Peacekeeping Andrey Sipchenko, Deputy of the Supreme Soviet Oleg Khorzhan, Deputy foreign Minister of the PMR Igor Shornikov.Taking part from the Russian side was Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Special Representative of the President of the RF for Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin, Assistant to Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the Russian Federation, of the Special Representative of the President of the RF for Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin Dmitry Loskutov, State Secretary, Deputy Defense Minister of the RF Nikolai Pankov, the Ambassador-at-large of Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Gubarev, Director of the Department for Compatriot Affairs of the Foreign Ministry of the RF Anatoly Makarov, Deputy Director of the Second CIS Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RF Vitaly Tryapitsyn, Deputy Chief of the President of the Russian Federation for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Igor Maslov. Besides, the Museum Exhibition was attended by the representatives of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, Russian Military Historical Society, the Russian Institute of Strategic Research (RISS), the Institute for CIS Countries, the Fund For the Support of Public Diplomacy by A. Gorchakov, the International Association of Culture and Art Professionals (MARKIS),  Peace and Harmony Federation.President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Special Representative of the President of the RF for Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin cut the red ribbon in a festive atmosphere. The exhibition “Pridnestrovie – the Russian boundary!” presents 12 showcases on the history of Pridnestrovie from the ХVIII century to the present days. The museum exhibits reflect the events to impact on the development of the Pridnestrovian land: the Russian-Turkish wars (ХVIII - beginning XIX centuries), the Patriotic War of 1812, the Civil War and military intervention, the formation of the MASSR, the Great Patriotic War.  A special attention was paid to historical preconditions for creation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, formation of the elements related to the national development, the current stage of development of the republic. Six pictures of the Pridnestrovian artists were donated to the Central museum of the Armed Forces of the RF today.At the opening of the museum exhibition it was emphasized «the Pridnestrovian region has become a natural part of the Russian economic and cultural space, included in all political, economic, and cultural realities of the Russian life».The museum exhibition “Pridnestrovie – the Russian boundary!” was organized by the PMR's MFA, State Service for Culture of Pridnestrovie and the Central museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.  Photo by D.
