01/31/18

Before, the mass restriction for vehicles on the bridge was 3.5 tons.

On January 31, 2018, following the agreements reached during the meeting of expert (working) groups on transport and road infrastructure on January 24 this year, relevant specialists from Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova took a joint trip to the bridge over the Dniester River in the area of the Bychok and Gura-Bykului villages.

The main objective of the experts meeting was to evaluate technical state of the facility and road approaches to it in order to increase the mass of vehicles allowed to move over the bridge from 3.5 to 10 tons.

Based on the results of the inspection, the parties’ specialists signed a protocol which says that traffic of vehicles of up to 10 tons is allowed over the bridge from today.

Taking into account significance of full use of the bridge potential and access for overweight vehicles, the parties will continue to work on this issue at the level of expert (working) groups.
