Farit Mukhametshin, “The Consular Service for Russian Nationals Needs to Be Adjusted.”

The consular service for Russian nationals living in the PMR was the matter of discussion during the meeting between Nina Shtanski, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR on Issues of International Cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR, and Farit Mukhametshin, Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova.



As the Press Service of the President of the PMR previously reported on December 21, 2012 the Head of the State Yevgeny Shevchuk announced decision to transfer to the Russian party a right of free use of the building where field consular office of the Russian Embassy is located. According to Farit Mukhametshin renovation of the building will be finished next month in due time.



“During six months we made attempts to provide our services as transparent as we can, to serve people without staying on the waiting list, to render active consular assistance to Russian nationals living in the PMR,” the Ambassador said. He also noted that another four officers have arrived to Pridnestrovie in view of promises concerning quantitative enlargement of number of consular officers. Though consular service is not perfect and needs to be adjusted. According to Farit Mukhametshin it is planned to implement electronic processing that will allow improving operation of the consular office.
