The Diplomat’s Day of the PMR Has Been Established by the Decree of the President of the PMR on February 10

The Diplomat’s Day of the PMR, earlier celebrated on the 6th of May, has been established on February 10 today by the Decree of the President of the PMR No. 403 “On Amending Presidential Decree No. 300, dated June 13, 2001 ‘On Establishing professional holidays and memory days in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic’ ”. So now the Pridnestrovian diplomats will celebrate their professional holiday on the same day as their Russian counterparts.

According to Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the PMR for International cooperation, Minister for Foreign Affairs Nina Shtanski, the Foreign Ministry of the republic warmly welcomes this decision.

 “The Russian diplomatic school plays a key role in the formation of diplomatic human resources potential of our country. The history of the Russian diplomacy is a kind of benchmark for us. In addition to our strategic partnership, the focus on firm defence of national interests and high patriotism unite us with the Russian diplomacy” – stressed the Diplomat.
